Demon's Souls Remake (PS5)
Next-gen platforms such as PlayStation 5 are hugely popular. No wonder that the developers meet the needs and prepare refreshed versions of iconic games. A perfect example is Demons Souls Remake, just released on PlayStation 5 - a remastered version of the cult action RPG from 2009. Now is available to buy!
The gloomy kingdom of Boletaria was taken over by the forces of a mighty, bloodthirsty, ancient deity. The once prosperous land has turned into a deserted, ruined abode of cruel demons whose goal is to sow death. And all this is due to the efficient, foolish decision of the king, blinded by the lust for power, who freed the imprisoned deity, thus condemning his subordinates to unimaginable torments. And the player is the hero the land needs; it is he who ends up in this forgotten place. He must destroy the fallen monarch and neutralize the dark deity, or else Boletaria's fate will become the fate of the whole world.
All fans know Demons Souls for its incredibly challenging combat system. On the one hand, as befits a decent action-RPG, it is very spectacular and makes it possible to admire the graphic fireworks that we see on the screen. On the other hand, the tactical aspect of the clashes should not be forgotten for a moment, and even the smallest mistake may turn out to be catastrophic. It is very easy to die, so mindlessly clicking the mouse on everything that moves does not seem like the best idea and will probably result in a quick death. What's more, boss fights add an additional increase to the already exorbitant level of difficulty, because there, in order to have a chance to win, we have to know the opponent's behavior patterns very well and use even the smallest mistakes and gaps in his defense.
When we defeat our enemies, we obtain souls that act as both currency and experience points - so we can exchange them for better equipment or develop selected character statistics. However, if it was not too easy - each of our deaths is the loss of souls gathered with difficulty. The player is then moved back to the nearest save point, weakened and with half their life points. If he reaches the place where he fell before, he will be able to retrieve lost souls, but be careful; each time we die, all enemies, except bosses, rise again. Reasonable use of souls and their efficient recovery in the event of a disaster will be the key to success here.
Play as one of the ten available classes and take on a challenge you've never faced before. Do it yourself, or use the multiplayer option, where you will be able to cooperate with others, take advantage of the unusual possibility of asynchornic integration with other players (including leaving messages and tips for others) or simply compete by aggressively invading another world. It's all in stunning visuals and modern technology to reduce loading times.
And remember - this game does not forgive incompetence.
